My great-aunt married her high school sweetheart after over 50 years apart. They are so funny and act like teenagers in love. I am sure in this digital age we will start to see this happen more and more!
This is a really nice story. There’s a Tv programme coming up about two sweethearts who meet again after 6o years.
Isn’t there one called As Time Goes By?
There’s a wonderful poem about a couple who finally marries in old age. She is in a wheelchair and he has a walker. The final line declares that they waited until they could afford to wed. In this economy, that would be never.
It’s wonderful when two people fall in love at whatever age they are. The body ages, the heart, never.
