I have never seen this, but love the symbolism of starting a new life together; enduring the handling of one’s beloved as a most precious thing, walking carefully to make sure it doesn’t fall apart, being joyful about the difficulty and trying to make it look easy. No wonder Jews proclaim ‘To Life!’
Absolutely loved it. Art imitates life, life imitates art. Though I do admire how calm that bride was. When they hoisted me into the air, I held onto my chair for dear life.
I became suspicious when I saw one of the female dancers dancing with one of the male dancers. This was not a Jewish wedding. It was a Messianic wedding.

Awesome–Fiddler is my favorite. And I love how they don’t separate the women from the men.
Cool!
Who says old-county wedding customs can’t be fun?
Thanks for posting.
